Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine at Health on South Rx

If you are not vaccinated, we encourage you to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. If you are vaccinated but have not received the booster shot, we encourage you to do so if you qualify.

COVID-19 Vaccine

We offer the COVID-19 vaccine to our customers, which is a safe and effective vaccination to fight the illness of COVID-19. We recommend each of our customers receive the COVID-19 vaccine if they haven’t already.

Understanding the COVID-19 Vaccine:

  • There are a few options for your COVID-19 vaccine. The FDA completely approves the Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine for people aged 16+. Two doses of the vaccine are required for full vaccination. 

  • If you choose the Moderna vaccine, two doses are also required, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is one dose, both available for ages 18+. 

  • The COVID-19 vaccine does not contain the virus. 

  • The flu vaccine differs from the COVID-19 vaccine, and both are encouraged.

  • When will the COVID-19 vaccine be available?
    Several COVID vaccines are currently available. We are receive new doses weekly!
  • How much does the COVID-19 vaccine cost?
    There is no cost associated with the COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of insurance coverage or lack thereof.
  • What are the COVID-19 vaccine side effects?
    The most common side effects include pain and swelling on the area of the arm where you got your vaccine injection. You may experience other side effects including fever, chills, tiredness, and headache. These side effects should go away in a few days. If you did not have any side effects from the first dose, you may still experience side effects with the second dose. Because the vaccine was approved for emergency use, other side effects have yet to be determined.
  • From which vaccine manufacturer will you be receiving supply?
    We do not yet know our allocations for how many of each manufacturer's vaccine we will be receiving. Please be aware that studies show very little difference in coverage between the different manufacturer's vaccines. The important thing is to get vaccinated!
